Mindset

Overview

Operating with the proper mindset is a major factor in your trading success, we must remember that we are stepping in the arena with the most sophisticated traders, algorithms and market makers the world has. These are global markets and the winners are the ones that execute well and at a high level. When it comes to performance sports, trading is in the top 5. We must be executing at the top of our game on a consistent basis.

Confidence in Our Process

You must know your market (s) & setups inside and out. In our markets and our setups we “know 10,000 things”, this means we know the nuances of when to trade, when not to trade, how much size to use and how big the potential R is. While there are times to experiment, we do not “play”. We trade our setups because they have shown repeatable patterns over and over and provide positive expectancy. We are confident in our setups, our ability to trade them and our ability to execute. This comes from hours of screen time, observing and optimizing our strategy.

Confidence in Our Execution

It is our job to execute when the time is right. This means that when our setups are present and the proper conditions are available, as soon as we see what we want to see we execute the trade process (POSA) immediately, and we execute that process to the best of our ability. We take the trade, we accept the risk and we manage the risk with the POSA process. We do not engage unless we are 100% committed to being engaged in the trade and it falls within our parameters.

Confidence in Ourselves

We think of ourselves as warriors. Act like it. Do not speak poorly of yourself. We see areas for improvement, we discuss them with our team and we work to improve those areas. Every negative word and thought permeates your brain and influences you, speak about corrective behavior in a positive manner.
